that thing needs to rev out to like 6k or more like 6200 and that would gain you a better result. because with that shift point when it goes into secondit is out of the ideal powerband

the first run was killed when you let off somewhat to stop the wheelspin and the trans shifted to 2nd. 3500 rpms is dogcrap for acceleration. Youve got to learn to "roll" onto the throttle progressively and have it WOT in first gear so it will tach out then shift to 2nd at a much better RPM

You'll get it, I just got my first A4 recently and had to learn this technique, took a little practice

the reason for crappy 0-60 is because you got major wheel spin through your 1st gear in the first run...
In my bone stock trans am i did 5.2 secs in a back road...
your car can definitely top that

Your wheels are still spinning when it shifts into 2nd which is why it's bogging down. Even though the speedometer reads about 40 mph the car is not actually moving that fast so it's making you go into 2nd way too early. Either get better tires or try easing off the gas a little once you get moving so the tires get traction and the wheelspin can't cause the premature shift/bogging.
