You can rev it as hgh as you want, your tuner can set the limiter where ever he /you want.I would guess the 98 are good up to 6600-6700.

Wouldn't that be putting alot more stress on the stock components though? Since they weren't made to go that high?

You would be fine with upgraded springs and pushrods.

the components your stressing the most are the valve springs, pushrods and rod bolts asumming the rest of your engine is in good shape. you should be upgrading springs and pushrods with a cam swap anyway. you'll also need to be tuned for almost any larger cam you slide in.

instaling rod bolts can be a pain with the engine in the car but its good insurance.

I still think im going to stick with this http://texas-speed.com/shop/item.asp...d=164&catid=44 It's a mild small cam and that with headers and intake should put me close to 370 id guess, then if i got 4.10s id be pretty happy.

dude Im telling you go with the tsp224r, or any 224. If you want a meaner lope go with 112lsa, I went 114 to pass emissions. I had the same questions and came to this conclusion, there are alot of people that have the 224 cam for a reason, its damn good! Just upgrade rockers, springs and pushrods-all nessisary if going for more power.

Tune is anywhere from 4-500 give or take.

Cams with pushrods and springs are about 7-800.

I don't know how much pacesetters are, but if you are in any kind of weather where there is salt (northeast, midwest) they will rust. You gotta get them powder coated or something. Personally I'd go with stainless steel if you live in these areas. If not....by all means get the pacesetters.

ls6 intake 3-350

Don't forget the install time on all this stuff....you gonna do it yourself? If not that will be some major money!

There's a lot of other little stuff you don't want to forget, ls2 timing chain, and probably a new oil pump.

Im hoping to find some of the headers and intake cheaper on here, and I live in PA but its never even driven in the rain, if it is its rarely and at times where it just rains while im out. Never driven in winter months even the car is locked away then so I dont think I have to worry about that stuff
