Need some input. Deciding between two LS1 cars.
Well look at what i got here. I am buying a procharger from a member on this site tonight. https://ls1tech.com/forums/non-lsx-parts-sale/899614-ati-d1-procharger.html that is the link to the thread containing the add. He is also shipping me an aftermarket fuel pump, regulator and boost gage for an additional 175. My plans were to buy that, and buy this car https://ls1tech.com/forums/vehicles-sale-lsx-powered-only/851948-sale-2001-ws6-transam-383-stroker-w-12-bolt-forged-internals-more.html but it looks like the banks wont lend enough for the car for me to buy it. I could back out on the procharger i would feel like an *** to he has been holding it for me. And that would give me the diffrence to buy the car. Or i could buy this car https://ls1tech.com/forums/vehicles-sale-lsx-powered-only/866841-2000-ta-m6-tsp-347-price-lowered.html and the procharger no problem. The guy had all the scratches takin out and dents of the 01 and said it looks like a new paint job and wants 13k firm now. So whats your guys input?

Sounds like the only thing the second car is missing is a rear end, but there is only 1K difference between the two cars. The bank won't give you 1K more? Sounds like you need to get the car you want and leave the charger alone for now until you can afford both.

Yes, he mentions getting all the scratches and dents fixed somewhere in the thread, and i called him and he had takin the car to the body shop, and had all the chips and scratches fixed. He said it looked like a brand new paint job and it all cost him 1000 so he would have takin 12 but now he wont take less than 13 since he just spent a grand on it.

Sorry, but it sounds like you're buying over your head if you're buying a supercharger to install and you can't get enough of a loan to buy a car. Generally it's easy to get a loan for 80-100% of the value of a car depending on the bank.

Yeah, I'm not trying to rain on your parade, but for example, my ac is having problems, looks like it might cost me 500-1000, plus just did rotors, and my daily driver etc. etc. etc. Don't get me wrong, my car has been very reliable, but being broke sucks. Best of luck though.

actually, notice elswhere on here, there is a guy who posted he brought his car to a garage for a bunch of upgrades, now the mechanic is ripping him off and he says he is forced to part the car out because he can't keep up with the costs.

Gotta know when to say no! If you want to mod your car, you either must be mechanically inclined or have a bottomless pit for a wallet. Expect to be scammed when dealing with mechanics. I am just shy of ASE certified, my career took a different course. I rarely take anything to a shop, but if I don't have time to fix something, at least I know when a shop is full of ****.
