What Should I Do
ok i have a 1995 Firebird Formula with 138000 miles...i currently lost my job and have no money left but i start a new job june 1st... i want a 6 spd so should i try to trade my car right now for a six spd even/for a little bit of money, or should i keep my car and wait for a while and buy an LS1...the thing is i want to have it by next school year i'll be a senior and high school and want to have the fastest and badest car in the lot so let me know what you guys think...Thanks a lot,

I think you would be better off to just sell your car instead of trying to trade it in. Im sure someone out there will be willing to buy that car off you, and then you can use that money to get an LS1. You've got a few month's, so dont rush it.

Just keep what you have now. If you get an LS1 just to show off at school that is a horrible reason. Plus the fact that you will be paying on a loan for a while if you get another car, not good if you want to move out or go to college.

keep the lt1, your just gonna get killed on it if you trade it in or sell it right now. fuel drinking v8's arent exactly the in thing right now at $4.25 a gallon for premie. i doubt most of the mustangs can keep up with your lt1 anyway, unless its a 05+ up even then with some mods you can pull them.

If you can afford it now and in the future, without causing financial problems down the road id say go for it. You would probaly want to sell it out right then go LS1 hunting. Dealers wont give you much at all if you trade your formula in.
