From reading the thread title I'd say ZO6 all the way, but I'd take the above advice after reading through the rest of the posts.

Like others have said you should definitely be more concerned about getting a house instead of spending that kind of money on a Z06. That extra money can be a nice down payment on a house.

Why spend $70k on a car that all you want is 450rwhp? Sounds like you have better things to spend $70k on than a car. Hell spend $10-15k for a badass engine, tranny, FI setup and put the rest of the money towards the house. You will have a car that will eat 99% of cars on the street, especially stock c6 z06s.

z06 is a badass, but like everyone else says. mod the t/a and buy a house. now is about the best time to buy a house as any. thats what im doing i wanted a vette but im keeping the camaro and shooting for a nice starter house with a garage and then maybe later shoot for the vette.

putting an ls7 in my opinion whould b dumb, its still not a freakin zo6....yes it is a lot of money but a zo6 is worth it ...if i could afford it i would without a doubt rather have a zo6 thn a t/a with the engine in it.....it all comes down to wht u can afford

I really do not get this comparison, if you've go 75k at your disposal, why are you only talking puttng 450hp to the ground out of the camaro?

I had the option to buy a 2002 corvette, or buy my 98 trans am. The corvette was flat out superior in every aspect, insurance was about the same. Several thoughts about the two changed my mind.
1.I wanted a back seat (even though its small as hell I never have to ride in it)
2. I thought to myself, whats more impressive, a stock corvette thats no doubt fast, or a trans am that can go on the highway or from a stop and rape a corvette, even a slightly modded vette?

So as far as WOW factor goes, whats gonna drop someones mouth more, a vette winning a race, or your stock looking trans am beating a vette?

If you have the option, keep your ta and get the vette, let the ta rest a bit if you need to, but if your any kind of a car guy you'll miss her when shes gone.

Either way good luck! A damn tough choice to make!

yea idk, i think the house would be a better idea. its truely your decision we can only help so much. personally yes vettes are great but i bought my firebird for a reason. that reason being because i wanted one, id personally build up the t/a and go for a house with that. but idk, depends how bad you want a vette. if you want the vette dont let anything stop you man, go for it.

Get a house first.
But if not, spend the 70k on the TA and make it a 1,500rwhp DD!

You could mod and mod your T/A, but it will still never be a zo6, might be faster, but its not the same. If you can afford the vette, I would go for it...I just read some posts...I would by a house lol.

keep the car! Why get into debt? With 450RWHP why the hell would you need more power unless it's a drag car?
Myself i would even be happy with 400 rwhp...
