70K is overload. I have around 18K in my ws6 and it should wax just about any stock z06 on the road with the spray. However, It still doesn't have close to the performance capability of the vette. People buy vettes for handeling/appearance as well as power. If it was only about straight line speed, then people would buy 5.0 mustangs and make them 9 second rocket ships for around 6-7 grand.

I'd say the house idea is the best advice, just check out the neighborhood real good before buying anything, especially close neighbors. I bought a house with a nice garage, but the woman next door calls the police any chance she gets. I think it's all she has to do! I live in hell!!!!!1

Agreed, 70k+ is nothing to sneeze at and have to have a very solid job/income. If you can comfortably afford it go for it!

If you are financially able to purchase a C6 ZO6, then why the hell are your rollin in a FBody? Or are you just being extremely hypocritical? Like maybe you are daydreaming, but in thread-form?

I dont want to explain my situation, but if you read this thread there are a lot of good opinions about what I can do. Now I live in an apartment, I could by a house and get the ZO6. But Now i know the ZO6 would bring lots of attention and may be I should build up the T/A with heads/Cam/Intake /Supercharger or go to a 408ci.

Idk, the vette would be fun to own but fast cars are fun and will score you ***. I know a member on the board who for a number of years drove exotics and did not own a house, parked his **** outside like everyone else. Stupid? Yes, but hell your days of young bachelorhood are numbered. Personally, I'd buy a house. If you go for the vette, I'd say buy used, spend some time looking around, buy low and sell high.
