They look more mordern than most other cars on the road.

The only exception I can think of is the C6.

They won't either. Our 4th gens are modern designs.... not retro BS.

Now if the 5th gens were a modern design, they might make the 4th gens look dated.

Retros will never make our 4th gens look old.

I picked up my Z-28 because it was still modern looking and it had way better bang for the buck than a new Mustang. Cobra's were still going for more than I was willing to spend.

I think our car's still look modern because no replacements have come out as other's have said. I think the fact that our car's still hang or beat most newer cars will help our cars keep up with the times.

Hell, I sometimes still get people asking me if my car is a 2008 since I still have a paper plate. It's funny

While I somewhat argree with this....the new retro Mustang looks modern next to the New Edge Mustangs...Just food for thought...IMHO even though it is a retro style. The Bumpers and interior look more upscale than the previous models.

Do my 69 GTO's look like they were built today? No. Do people stop, stare, and drool when I drive them? Yep. Same deal with our F-bodies. They may be "dated", but do people stop and compliment them? All the time.

A lot of you have said it - instant classics. Good design never gets old. Look at 55-57 Chevys. And the examples could be multiplied. Especially the WS6 Pontiacs, with the right wheels ... folks are still awed by them.

Yeah you keep thinking that until you sit in a newer mustang or camaro and realize you hate your squeaky cheap plastic in your "modern" 93-02 f-body.

My opinion, i think the 4th gen transams will be about a notch below the old 69 camaros. even after years and years you look at that car and think, damn, that thing looks good! same with the T/As...and honestly....the ws6 (or ta with ws6 hood) is still at least in the top 10 for the meanest looking car on the road. just looking at the front end of a ws6 makes you think the damn thing will eat your kids!

I think the WS6's will hold their "look" appeal longer than the camaros. Im a 4th gen Camaro owner, but nothing in their styling has ever screamed "damn!" to me or anything. I do agree that a retro camaro will not make it look any more dated though, however, its all in peoples minds. For example, the SN95's looked nothing like the Fox bodies, but since the fox's were the last gen, they eventually still looked dated. It could go either way, IMO.

The F-15 Eagle debuted in 1972 and looks modern. The Fbody seems to age gracefully as well.

Maybe it would look more modern if it was a retro box that weighed 4000 lbs.

Just FYI: The last F-body rolled off the line less than 6 years ago. On August 28th, 2002, to be exact.

As far as anything prior to 98, with the excetpion of some well modified Lt1 F-bodies. I think the 98-02 Ls1 cars are with standing the test of the time externally, interior not so much. Exterior makes up for it. But I love my car either way despite its ways or my mistakes.

That said.......

I'am contradicting myself here but every F-body that was made in 98-02 I think looks stand the test of time except Z28's. This is my personal opinion so before I get attacked for saying this remeber it's my personal opinion. Every SS, Ws6, Firehawk and regular Trans Am all look great. Except for the Z28, it just looks so blan. That SLP SS package makes or breaks the car. Just my opinion.

None of my cars have squeaked. Even my Camaro, as far as interior goes. I have noises from my exhaust but that was due to not being installed correctly which has been fixed.

I've heard horror stories about squeaky F-Bodies, I think it matter how the car was taken care of. All the F-bods I've been in have been solid so no squeaks or very minimal squeaks there.

I also don't think our intrerior is that bad. It gives you a good drivers position, which is why the new Mustangs have a similar setup.

I don't expect steller interior from our cars because of the market focus they're in. Sure we could get nicer interior, but we'd pay for it. I'd rather keep the good enough interior and have a great car for a great price

They do look dated, to an extent. The 98+ Trans Am's front end styling is still killer... and could maybe be mistaken for new. But even the rest of that car looks older. But like was already stated, some of these 4th gens are timeless, they look bad *** and always will.

ive only had my car for about 2 months, and ive had 3 people ask me if it was a new car (not as in new to me, but new over all. these were people i didnt know that well, they were just asking about the car)
I really thought everyone knew these cars were no longer being produced... guess I was mistaken.
