I was just at a local Pizza Hut... they had the speed channel on.

There was a new ZR-1 up for auction... Winning bidder was Dave Ressler with a top bid of $1,000,000.

Jay Leno was there... talking about he ZR-1 and basically introducing the car. He slammed other brands as well.

400 Hp GTR vs 620 Hp ZR1... lol. A C6Z06 will be able to keep with the GTR easy. That Skyline will have a great launch being AWD and all but the vette has way more top end power. The GTR has a huge double edged sword in the fact that it is entirely computer controlled. All the testers hit the same 0-60 times and track times because it's so damn easy to drive. That also means this car has ceilinged it's performance before it even comes out. You won't be able to hard mod these cars because everything is computerized. Simple raw power is what makes the ZR-1 and Z06 much beter cars.

I think i saw somewhere that its turbos are built into the exaust manifolds so a turbo upgrade is out of the question on them. But i also think they are 480 horse too.

I'm not saying there not bad *** cars, I like them except the looks. The computer launch is kind of cool but the ZR1 is a semi affordable super car. Way cheaper then a Lambo but it will still beat one. Anyone see the track times for Nurburgring? Exactly! I had a ricer dumb *** try and argue with me because he heard me say I wanted to put an LS1 in an RX7. The dumb ricer said that would be dumb thing to do because the RX7 motor is way better than the corvette motor. A couple of my friends heard him and tore the dude a new one. Once I heard the comment though, I figured there was no point in talking. people are going to believe what they want to believe.
