i avg like 18-20 city/highway mix. I shift under 2k and even at 1.5k sometimes. I have air lid and magnaflow catback now. Now i put my car in 5th gear at like 35mph and just have barely any foot on the gas and it sits at like 1.1rpm and seems fine now the fact its in 5th and the engine has more load even though it accels fine with barely any gas is that making my mileage worse?

Cant it be the states we live in? like crapy gas? I live in NY....

I used to get 26 mpg highway...until I fixed my knock sensor issue...then I got 28 on the highway. My car is an A4 with 3.23 gears. I think it's incredible to be able to hit 11's in the 1/4 and then go home getting only slightly worse gas mileage than an economy car.

Tell me about it. I went to the Honda stealership to help my mom drop off her Pilot for service. So my car is sitting there camming and the service rep says to us that I must be "rich to fill that car up with gas all the time". So I told him that it gets better gas mileage than my mom's Honda, and he didn't believe me.
