Another... What is my car worth thread...
I've only had my LS1 for a few months now after owning many cars recently and now I've run across an 03' Cobra I MIGHT want to go after.
Either way, I have a 2000 NBM Camaro Z-28 Convertible with a 6spd w/ factory Hurst shifter. It has about 55k with a tan top and tan leather interior. The top is in great shape with all accessories, the leather is also very good with only minor wear. Car has some rock chips on hood and a few minor scratches.
It is loaded minus the 6 cd changer and I have installed an IPOD connector kit as well as had the front two speakers replaced.
It is BONE stock to the filter other than that with a BRAND new clutch, (master, slave, flywheel, pressure plate, etc.) done by a Chevrolet dealer with records to back it up. A/C blows ice cold as it has just been serviced by the same dealer. Has Toyo proxes with about 4500 miles on them in good shape as well.
In the off chance that I need to sell this car, would getting between 11-12k seem reasonable? Note, not just setting that as my asking price, actually getting someone to offer 11-12k?

you may have a hard time trying to sell it that quickly on here to get that other car, with the economy being the way it is and being that most guys on here are looking for a ttop car. but NBM car's are the sex and your price range sounds do-able. hopefully there is a good local market where you're at.

Well I'm in the DFW, TX market so it's actually pretty good for sports / convertibles, and rather large so I'll hope I can get it done.
Financially, I could afford the cobra and vert at the same time so pressing to sell wouldn't be a huge issue. In the long run, I'd definitely still sell the vert though as I can't waste toooooo much money.

If you can afford BOTH, then get that Cobra but do NOT sell! Your vert sounds too nice to sell, especially for that kind of money. Wouldn't it be great to have your choice of rides each day? Also, by having two fine machines you would be putting on half the normal mileage. Think about it, unless you dislike your vert for some reason. Many posters here would LOVE to have both rides.
