Ok, I have a 98 ws6. Black w/ graphite/dark grey interior, A4, 97,XXXmi., new A/C system, Alpine CD deck, BMR Panhard, SLP lid, smooth bellows, k/n filter, Ported MAF ends, EGR delete, Longtube PaceSetters, Off-Road Y-Pipe, Flowmasters, Corsa clones, remover side moulding, clear side markers, chrome inlays on the front bumper bird, trans am door emblems, the rear PONTIAC letters and silver and black WS6 emblem , chrome painted fender grills and ram air grilles. There is a mior scuff mark on the pass. rear fender which is barely noticible and will buff out and of course has the mysters small dings above the rear wheels. The car has a clean title, I am the 3rd owner. The first owner was a Dr. whose wife drove my car only on nice days and never in the rain, the second owner was a mechanic at a dealership here in Baton Rouge, he is the one who put the performance parts on, but he was in the army so only put 2,000 miles on the car when he had it b4 i bought it from him. I am not dead set on gettin rid of her b/c it is my baby, but im 25 and just bought a house and have that note plus lots others and the GAS prices are not helping at all so if i would have to part w/ her, id like to know what i should ask. The 2 only faults w/ the car is that the SES lite is on due to no catalytic conv's and the dreaded pass. window motor is shot. And i know ppl will ask so... I have not personally ran the car at the track...yet but the boy i bought it from said it ran a 13.3 on street tires and pulled a 12.9 on DR's. I cant vouch for it bc i didnt run it, but i have heard from witnesses that did see it. But anyway, what do u think i can get for my car?

Beautiful looking car BUT get ready for the tough sell. It has been stated many times here that you rarely get back your mod money. Nearly 100,000 miles is another negative (even though it is actually decent average annual miles) along with the SES light. The window motor is not a deal killer but still something that can affect the price. I say KEEP IT and enjoy it on occasion because you will be lucky to get $6,000 for it. I looked at some car selling sites and a good condition 'private party' selling price was around $7,000. I'm not sure your car fits that category due to the issues you described, plus these sites are not considering the tough economy or high gas prices to the full extent. These sites, such as KBB, don't apply well to the real world of selling an F-body, especially the superb examples, but it is still a guide. If you decide to sell, good luck! I'm sure you will find that certain buyer at the right price.

between 6 and 8, depends on the buyer's perspective.
Did you put 85,000 miles on it? Cause driving 'on nice days and never in the rain' can't be more than a couple thousand miles a year and you're the third owner so I guess the first owner had it for less than 6 years so thats maybe 12k...the next guy put on 2k...where'd the rest come from?
If you paid $7k, put 80,000+ miles on it, and can sell it for $7k...that's like a zero-cost lease!

I dont see why you couldnt get 8 or so for it...Look around on ebay, autotrader and sites like that and see what 98 fbodys are going for with mileage around the same as yours.
that window motor aint that big of a deal, and you can get that light turned off pretty easy too.
I just searched for a 98 trans am/formula on autotrader with over 100,000 miles and the average price was $7,493 out of 23 cars.

i know you said your gonna keep it but id put it up for $8500 you got it for 7k put no money into it because the work was done already and im good for knockin 1500 off of private parties so even if you got someone like me youd still get what you paid for it. if you need the money just slap a forsale sign in the window and drive it and forget your selling it. eventually you will get someone that will offer you close to what your asking.
