man theres alot of hate for mustangs. lol . man , Ive owned 2 mustangs now, a 99 gt and a 95 cobra , both highly modded and i now own a '99 z28. The Z is definatly fast, especially for bonestock how it is now, but there are a bunch of things that the mustang has that i dont think the camaro can touch . First theyre chick magnets!! second, they sound awesome w/ just about any exhaust you can put on it, ESPECIALLY an s197 like yours, third the '05 up mustangs are so retro and theres so much you can do to make them look even more amazing than they do bone stock! the interiors are awesome, and in the end, i believe you would end up regretting the trade.
besides, the '05 gt's are pretty damn fast as they come from the factory; a coldair, exhaust and tune can easily wield 300+ to the wheels.
before i get jumped on, let me also mention the '99 z i have now is my 4th f-body and ive loved them all, and its hard to match a modded ls1, unless your drivin an '03/04 cobra

I would wait until the new Camaro comes out. If not then i would trade it for a C5 Corvette or C5 Z06. I have owned 12 4th generation F-Bodies and I wouldn't ever pay over $9k for even the cleanest of clean

The Mustang is worth more $ and more valuable to the dealer because it is more likely to sell to a larger audience (younger guys, grandmothers, slow-pokes, etc).
The SS, on the other hand, isn't as nice and won't be a cherry 5k mile car, so you might miss the 'newness' of the Mustang.

Wow, thanks for all the replies. There's definetly a lot of wisdom and great posts. Thank-you! I'm going to think about it some more. I didn't buy the Mustang brand new just so you know. I bought it from a guy at a steal price, since he needed the money from a divorce. I'm aware though, that once I have the Camaro it's going to be my car for a while, since the values are going lower. To be honest, I haven't discussed numbers or anything with the dealer, so I don't even know if they'd go for it. I mean they've had the car since April (you can see in the pics) and have dropped the price over that span of time a few times. An even trade to me sounds more then fair, but I don't work at a dealer, so I can't say. It seems they always want money, with a trade and in that case I'll just keep my GT. There is no way I'd be giving them money untop. Not a chance!! Anyway, here's the link again with the pictures..... http://www.trader.ca/powerpage/detai...6&adid=6885570
Thanks again and anymore insight and opinions would be great!!!
