lolz. Buying sfc's is not a hard thing to do when having t-tops in return. T-tops gets'em wet, not the vette.

1998 probuction sheet
http://lair.evyl.org/1998-Firebird_P...on_Numbers.htm

This is how I figured out my car is One of a possible 22 NBM Formula M6 Hardtop's. I did percentages based off of these numbers.

I wouldnt mind having a hard top, dont have to worry about leaks or structural issues. T-tops are nice too the poor Z28 i have now doesnt even have a top

you dont get much more structural integrity with a hard top... its still the same basic design on the top where the t-tops are (all cars actually start out as t-tops) only difference is where we get cool pop out pieces of glass, you get a thin sheet of aluminum. not really seeing where this stops flex

Exactly why I used the

In fact there is controversy about the use of SFC in t-tops 4th gen models. Third gens is another story.

As much as I loved ttops on my first two fbodies(both 3rd gens) I like not thinking about a roof potentially leaking. Do I miss them? Yes. Does having working A/C in this one make up for it? Absolutely.

im not saying it was correct, cuz i have no idea, but i remember a thread months ago where a few people, with quite a few posts so they could be credible sources, saying that ALL f bodies started out as t top cars. i only know of 1 person with a hard top car and thats a girl with a '00 v6 camaro and her roof has the t top indents. anyone prove/disprove this? i have no idea either way. (forgive the ignorance)

2000 is one of the crappy years. Unless Pontiac releases more of their stats we have no idea. Even Pontiac Historic Services doesnt have the breakdown.

Its all the same pretty much. Hardtops get small aluminum bars on the sides where the TTops go.

well... not "ALL" lol my first 4th gen never started off as a T-top... it didnt have a top at all but yes, essentially all 4th gens start off as t-tops except for the convertibles.

I like the hard top camaros. Just because they are black no matter the body color. Firebirds on the other hand are colored.

When I had my '97 hardtop you could see the outline of the T-Top when the temperature changed and dew condensed on the car. Other than a little sheet metal I doubt that structural strength is much better.
