So...do any of you get paranoid after doing big mods and get paranoid/scared/worried about starting your car?
Maybe you just finished a head/cam swap? or transmission work? etc?
Well, I just installed a new converter in my car (Yank SS3600)...right now I'm just waiting on my computer to get back from a mail-order tune (Tuesday)...and I really don't even want to start the car.... Hah...I know I did everything right...just would really suck if the transmission pump broke or something went totally FUBAR.
Always think negative! So you don't get your hopes up.

Not at all. I finished a big block build late one night, didn't want to wake the neighborhood so I got up early the next morning, started it up, put it in drive and drove around town breaking it in.
This was a motor home engine built to run low 11's, only factory part left was the block and crank.

I'm impatient to start the car after modding...
When I hear it start up after a repair or doing something right on mods, it's like great music. It's the drive after the start up that scares the **** out of me. Then you hear things that weren't there before AND you have to deal with a hot engine...

check and double check after that I am good to go. If something happens I probably should of checked it first and learn from that. pretty much trial and error sometimes
