Not exactly an answer, but I noticed my '98 has the exact same steering column as my old 2nd-gen Firebird.

pretty much any steering wheel looks better than the huge ugly *** sunfire/cavalier one they put in are cars, i guess it wouldnt hurt to try. Do you have one just laying around or are you planning on buying one?

Been thinking of buying one used from salvage yard. If I get it I'll post up if it works or not.

The only problem is, you would need airbag also which is sold separately. The Air is around $700 and the steering wheel is around $300 new. The only way I would purchase it is used. I found one for $75 and the airbag for $200.

just a thought...I used to sell these, and the #1 complaint of the interior is the fact that the column doesn't tilt, just moves up and down.

Check into the HHR steering wheels too. They look the same and their bags have bowties and SS badges.

The steering wheel in the Sky overall is a 06-07 corporate design and is installed in everything from Cobalt's, G6's, HHR's, and even the Corvette's. I've been kind of been curious about it myself since the new steering wheels are much cleaner looking than the one in the Firebird, but something tells me that it wouldn't work.
