Default How does my car rank up?

Just wondering how my car ranks up to other LS1 with similar mods.

1998 Camaro Z28
Stock Supspension
Stock Rear w/ 3.73 Gears
Yank SS3600
Lid
Headers w/ Dual Cutouts
Radials

Thats it, car has went 12.45 with a 1.65 60' at New England Dragway, this is also with a shift point of 6500 which i feel is WAY too high, i will be trying to beat this time in the next few weeks.

Looks like a pretty good time for that track and setup. What did it trap? Autos will almost always see a lower trap with a better ET and much better 60' than the same car only M6. You probably have a little room for improvement pending better weather or something like that, but you're doing pretty well I'd say, and I wouldn't expect too much more out of it without changing the setup or throwing more mods at it.

cool man, considering 96k miles the only other things i will do is minor suspension and nitrous, possibly an intake. hit some low 11's before the rear snaps.

I think your A4 will probably break before your rear end does.

a good tune and an intake, maybe some mickey's, and a little luck never hurt, you could see high 11s if you get a great 60' like that again.

GREAT times nonetheless though!

Mickey's on a stock 10 bolt = Scatered parts at the track.

It's a little harder to break behind a A4

When I had basically the same set-up except I had 3.23 rather than your 3.73s, I was running 12.2s. My shift points were just 100 over stock, so if I remember correctly that's 6000 for 2nd and 6100 for third or something like that. Bring down your shift points and you might get some more out of the car

I ran many high 10s spraying a 150out of the hole on the stock rear with ET streets and never had a problem with the 10 bolt. autos are a lot friendlier to the rear then M6s
