I don't know about everyone else, but I always assume crank hp unless someone says whp. Who is stupid enough on here to think the guy was talking about 350rwhp stock?

if you're going to assume what hp is being discussed in reference to stock cars, you should join the rest of the country in assuming hp ratings are crank unless specified otherwise since that's where the factory has always rated them...or maybe that's just me

Maybe you shouldn't make yourself out to be the dumbass by ripping on someone when you don't even know what you are talking about.

The conversion from a standard Trans Am to a WS6 was done by ASC not SLP. This also included the hood which was painted at there facility to match the cars. This is why alot of WS6's have issues with the rain etching on the WS6 hoods paint and not the rest of the car.
This is also why some dealerships apparently refused to warranty the paint on the hood.

I had one insist that I must have had the hood painted because it didn't have the orange peel texture like other parts of the car. I guess the guy didn't know the hood was done separate from the car to begin with.

I had to make the circuit of dealerships before I was able to get it fixed.

I could keep picking it apart, but in summary, your post never should have been made because it is so full of incorrect claims
Also the WS.6 package started with the 2nd gens not the 3rd.

They are not Bilsteins they are different deCarbons. Different spring rates, and thicker sway bars. And that became less of a change later in the ls1 Ws6 years. Search is a friend and use the stickes. Larger wheels too. Bilsteins were not on WS6's. I believe it was a package upgrade from SLP on Firehawks.

This is what my ws6 hood looks like now.

Makes me sick. And I'm not sure if I want to paint it or get another (different) hood and paint it instead.

wow, these never stop.

WS6 stands for - Wikipedia Search and 6 is for how many of these damn post i see a day.

to all over you arguing it has 400 more horsepower and BS, WRONG. it comes with a cool hood, and an airbox that does absolutely NOTHING untell 100 MPH+.. and a little suspension work. as an EXTRA option on top of it you could send it to SLP to add a catback, and some other little goodies..

And YOUR part of the problem!!!!!!!! SLP had NOTHING to do with the WS6 nor could you send your car there for anything!!! I am speaking of the LS1.... THe suspension upgrades in the later years were a joke. The shocks have the same part number as the none WS6 cars....
