Z/28 to a SS
#61
I had an opportunity to buy a black 2000 ss convertible with 80,000 miles for less than my convertible z28 with 27000 miles on it. I chose my Z because of the low miles. I can turn my Z into an SS for pretty darn cheap, using SLP parts, a heck of a lot cheaper than I could from the factory. The convertibles even had the same suspension! If you want to clone it fine. I don't think of it as posing. Look at the Olds 442- do people call them posers for making it a w-30 optioned ram air car. Or the GTO a poser for making it a Judge clone. An SS is a performance/appearance package. Just don't try and sell it as a real one.
