I want to know what to do? The car has about 80,000 miles on it. I dont know where to begin. I am thinking about a 402 or 408 stroker engine, TEA Heads Fast 92mm moser 9in etc. My goal would be a 10 sec car. What other suggestions would you guys have. Right now I have a cam only car full bolt ons stock 10bolt and it is a M6 car. I want the ultimate street car and take it to the track every now and then. This will help me to decide what to do.

Im gonna go with what cobalt said.
Save unless you just have shitloads of money, youll never get the money back that you invested in a car. Plenty of other good investments that will make you money in the long run.
BUT if you say **** it then turbo the bitch or H/C/I and nitrous. It wont take too much HP to make a 10 sec. pass just a good setup.

I am in the same boart as you. I have like $25 grand to spend and more then likely will be getting a 438 LS7 motor with my T-56 rebuilt to support the power. I already have all the suspension stuff done and a Moser 9 inch. But I am not spending all the money on my car I am also paying off a lot of loose bill's too. Good luck on what you are going to do.

All tough choices, I am a fan of H/C LS1 engines though. Whatever you decide to do make sure you save enough in your budget to build up your drivetrain.

Im thinking of pulling out on selling my car now, just because hearing this economy stuff is depressing. I rather just roll in my paid off car then jump into a $40k+ car that will depreciate and fall with the economy.
