the bottom corners on the inside of both parking lamp lenses are cracked off

i dont have bumper reiforcements and my car is lowered an inch and the bottom of my nose has scraped a few times

IS THIS A COMMON PROB OR IS IT BECAUSE I DONT HAVE BUMPER REINFORCEMENTS AND NOSE HAS SCRAPED BEFORE???

only problems i have had with the parking lamps is that eventually one started to crack around the bulb and the chrome came off the inside. had to replace. but it got very brittle towards the end. is that your issue?

they are only 30.00 from the dealer so you aren't out that much.

Both of my birds did the same thing. I replaced on set, no issues since. The other is almost to the point of replacement.

both of mine are cracked in the same exact spot, the bottom corners on the middle of the car. just noticed that one day. figured it was a common prob since both of mine are cracked in the same exact spot. unless, scraping the nose caused it

On my WS6 both sides had cracks directly in the centers from the bottom to the top of the lenses. Almost like they were intentionally made.... weird.

I had some condensation (actually filled up) in my LH lens, and today the bulb went out, and I finnally noticed it was cracked,, my car has never been scraped, so seems either manufaturing defects, or just old age.

Are the aftermarket lenses (ebay) worth buying or are they junk like the stang headlights are?

Some things, I'm just uneasy about getting aftermarket. Something like lenses... eh... it's iffy. I went to the dealer for mine. I didn't want any issues with fitment as the lense is in a weird position with how the bumper is cut out and they sit in it. I went dealer on those bad boys.

mine are still cracked i'm pretty sure it is from jamming the nose in the ground... i have replacements but the lights work and you can't tell they are cracked from far away so i don't bother right now... and trust me mine are cracked from one side to the other i'm surprised the lens hasn't just shattered off completely

On my '02 bird they are, its a perfect rectangle formed in each lense approx. 0.030" wide and runs to approx. 1/4" of the top and bottom edge of the clear plastic.
Look at it with a magnifying glass, its perfectly formed and not from cracking. I noticed it the first week I bought the car.
