Default weird/loud whining sound?

My TA is making a loud supercharger-like whining sound when I'm accelerating and it gets way louder when I'm turning, I lust bought this car late last month and the sound was there when I bought it but it was much quieter so I did'nt think anything of it. It has a little less than 57,000 miles on it. Also the sound changes pitch some when I'm turning, the sound gets deeper. Is my power steering about to go out? Anybody have this happen? What is it

really? why does turning have an effect on the sound of it then? Do I need to replace the bearing in the pulley?

Put some power steering fluid in and see if that corrects your problem. If it does then check for a leak. If not then you can check off the steering as not the problem.

Sounds like a power steering pump going out to me...When your turning it add resistance against the pump making the howling sound. Pulley can make squeaking sounds but I have never seen one howl, pumps and gears do that.

make sure it's still topped off. Sometimes there's air pockets. Also sometimes once they start to make the noise it will never really go away.
