No, bad valve seals or bad rings. More than likely bad valve seals.

BlueBeastSS,

Also, does the smoke trail go away if you stay on the gas and keep accelerating? If so its the valve seals. If the trail continues, its the rings.

But there are other things like the PCV valve sticking open and dumping a ton of oil into the intake at WOT. That would be a nice $3.00 fix. Might as well buy one and see if thats it.

Yea it goes away when i shift to second but once it reaches high rpm like 4000 you can see the smoke, and im sure its white smoke. Also the low oil light came on and i had barley changed the oil on it a week ago and changed out the knock sensors.

i have the same problem.... I changed my oil and got on it and it blew the dipstick.... oil everywhere! lol

now it doesn't blow the dipstick out but i have blowby and a slight puff of smoke when i punch it then nothing!

I think mine is piston rings (im boosted).....

check your plugs.... i pulled mine and none of them covered in oil so not really pointing to piston rings... probably a valve seal (but i replaced them less than 6000 miles ago) also pull your oil cap do you have blowby?

Im just gonna run the SOB till she blows!!!! if it doesn't blow im gonna be changing to a forged 370 this winter more than likely.

rings for you.

Bad valve seals can't cause the oil dpi stick to get blown out.

If you nail it and the smoke starts, especially if you nail it from a roll (like 50mph) and then as you continue to keep accelerating the smoke trail slowly clears up....its most likely bad valve seals.

Also, some people have said that they had bad valve seals when they would take the foot off the pedal while doing a hard run. Then they would get a trail a white smoke.

Uhhhhhhh, I don't think so. You might want to ask in the "External Engine Section" for LS1/6 engines.

Just to make sure. They may be fine, but check there first.
