Security light keeps coming on
This has been driving me nuts, as it usually does this on my way to work.
If car is cold or has been sitting for awhile, it will start right up. However if I pull into a gas station or shut the car off for a few minutes, and go to restart, security light will come on without fail almost everytime and not start for 3 mins. Then it will start.
Sometimes, the security light will come on as I'm driving, doesnt seem to run any different. I dont have a spare key or anything I could try differently. Would bypassing the lock cyinder with a resistor fix my problem?

It is probably the sensor on the key, if you have a spare key that is newer keep it on you. When you go to start the car and it does not start use the newer key and I bet it will start up.
