Question Low coolant light

How do I get rid of a persistant "Low Coolant Light"? There's always plenty of coolant and I don't want to get into changing the sensor every other month. Any suggestions?

make sure the sensor is clean and then reset the pcm, see if that takes care of it.

I think this is a problem mostly with alot of `99s. You can unplug it. That's the only way I kept mine off. It was cleaned once, then replaced, then I said to hell with it.

I don't think `00+ have them anyway, right?

I have a 98 and it does it often too. Not constantly, but every once in a while, even when the coolant is full.

There is a metal clip locking it in. I removed the battery to get better access to the sensor. Lift up two sides of the metal clip and pull it towards the passenger side. and then pull the sensor out.
