I have the crack too. The interior has been well taken care of. I just took it to a shop for some work, left it there for a few months during the winter, and when I got it back I noticed the crack. It's on the driver's side door. Car resides in MI.

They repaired and repainted my doors and front fenders the week after I bought the car. Three years later the door cracks returned. They are only present when I open the door to the second stop. Not worth repairing and repainting yet. I do have a lifetime warantee on the work so I will have to take it back someday.

There is a lot to like about Pontiac but the bodies do suck!

BAH! I have the interior door crack too, on the passenger side. I thought that it was kind a of a weird place to be cracked, you'd have to purposefully put some kind of destructive pressure there to cuase it by hand... I figured it just happened....guess I was right!

I had a crack on the driver's side. Had it replaced under warranty, no questions asked.

Sean

I think it's because TA's are just so much damn faster that Maros and it's so hard to keep the doors on when we blow by you.

No for real though, Both of mine are cracked too. I've always had my car in TX prior to being stationed in Germany.

I guess a TA has to have some kind of draw back to keep it in line with Maros. Just look at the pole. TA's are kicking everyone ***!!!

So which one do you like better? TA, Camaro or Vette?

TA all the way Kid!

My cracks "developed" a few weeks ago. Or at least that's when I caught it. Pass side is about an inch or so, driver side is smaller but there's 2 there. People keep asking for pics, I guess I'll post em up when I get a chance to take them.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...or+panel+crack

Looked like an interesting solution for already cracked panels.
What's the fix to prevent this? Remove the staple or what?

01 TA, my driver-side door trim is cracked @ 14K miles....

Has anyone totaled up the number of broken bits in this post? This post should be able to be leveraged against Pontiac to make them fix the issue.

I doubt they will do anything. Sounds like a lot of people were getting warranty work done for it. Those without warranties are screwed I guess.

Mine developed the same cracks about 2 weeks after I had both of my window motors replaced. Could be from the heat, but I think they fed up reinstalling the panels and cracked them.

That Was my original thought. I didn't notice that cracks until after I changed out the speakers in my car. I thought that it was something that I did when I put the door panels back on. I guess not now. So many people have complained about it and very few have mentioned it being after taking the panels off.

How many of us had it happen after taking the panel off?

They are over $500 at GM...I just called a local dealership. You can get em used on ebay for about $120-150
