Default Heat problem

The heat still blows out but it doesn't come out strong like it used to, it's faint to almost not even there. Is it the blower?

It could be, or you may be losing flow to either the floor or defroster. The baffles are vac operated so if there is a vac leak in the lines or selector lever it will default to the floor (I think). Some flow at your feet is normal but excessive ammounts point to a vac leak.

Hmmm same issue I have. Does the vacuum leak cause this in all positions the blower could be in, or just heat? Mine is faint no matter what temp or selection...

Same here, the volume at the feet is all the same and not stronger than usual. It all blows the same on every selector. Is there something on the site on how to install this? i went to installuniversity.com and i didn't find it

Yes, the vacuum leak will be a problem in all heat/cool positions depending on where the leak is. Start at the connection on the back of your intake and work into the car.

Slight problem... I removed my emissions stuff and plugged that vacuum line... Could this be my problem?

My vents now make a sound of the air going strong then light at a fast momentum...is it still the blower or could it be the vac problem?

If vacuum can't get to the dash, nothing in the heat or A/C system inside the car will work right.

Vac problem, sounds like one of your heater box doors is moving back and forth. Blowers don't speed up and slow down like that.

Hmmm does anyone know another way to get the vacuum into the car? I was under the impression that the one on the back of the intake worked with the pcv system...

The connection for inside the car is small (vacuum hose, 1/4" O.D.), pcv (smog hose 1/2" - 3/4" O.D.) is large. So, which one are you talking about?

There is only one on the back of the intake right? I know it was very small, but when I followed it it went to a small (I mean small) canister and then went nowhere, so I took it off. I will be doing an LS6 soon anyway so I will look then. Either way it has been doing this since before I took it out. Maybe something got disconnected when they put my headers in...

Mine does the same thing, along with 75% of the other cars here. I doubt that is your problem...
