Change the oil.

Pump the tires up to 44 psi.

Get all the frech fries out from under the seat, or you will get mice.

Skip the jack stands. It creates more problems than it solves. Just pump up the tires.

how does putting the car on jack stands cause more problems? it is a known fact that storing a car on the tires, causes low spots on the tires. putting the stands under the axle and control arms is your best bet. you could also use those silicone tabs you find in boxes for electronic devices. you can find more stuff for storage on restoration sites or even for corvette sites.

When the car is on jack stand it helps out in three ways.
1. Like said before keeps the tires from drying out
2. Takes the weight of the springs
3. When spring comes and the floor becomes damp you will will have more air floor under the car adn will prevent possible rust.

every year before i put mine away, which is usually the last week of september or first week of october depending on the weather patterns. i put a fresh 6 qts of mobil1 in,fresh full tank of 93 w/stabil fuel stabilizer, air up my tires, trickle charger,6 desicant bags(silica gel) for moisture inside and a full detail then i cover it with my california car cover in my heated/air condtioned garage and call it a day.i have been doing this for the last 10 years and i have never had a problem with my car,i do start it once a month just to keep the fluids moving and from the seals drying up. i installed a new set of bfg kdw w/american racing m-black torque thrusts last summer, so ill see how they fare when it comes spring time.
