taking longer to start my car
Sup guys,
Lately my 2000 WS6 has been taking a few seconds longer to start and I often have to hold the gas pedal down for it to fire up, thid problem arose from out of nowhere and I have no idea what it is. No SES light and I haven't done anything new to it since I cammed it about 12k miles ago, the car runs fine and doesn't seem to have a power loss or any other issues.
One thing I did notice was that I have been running it with the AC on and it "chops" much harder with the AC on, not sure if that's related but that's the only thing I have done differently before this problem came around. Any advice? Thanks for any help!

Alright, let me elaborate a bit more on the problem since I was in a rush and made this topic with my blackberry lol.
Okay I turn the key and the engine instantly starts to "cycle" no starter hesititation what so ever, then it fires up after a few seconds of "cycling". It only does this on cold starts as well, or if the car has been sitting for a period of time. Once the car is running I can shut it off and turn right back on with no problem.
I know one of my SES code's is related to TPS positioning, but I have had that code for a while and thought it was just related to my tune? I just had the spark plugs and fuel filter changed about 3k miles ago as well. The car runs hard and doesnt give me any other problems besides this.
I will check fuel pressure tomorrow, thanks guys.

Yes its been tuned, one thing it may be is that it was tuned in Kentucky and now its in Miami Florida. Maybe the humidity is throwing it off? But I drove its for like a month before any problems happen, yes the plugs were changed approx 3,000 miles ago.
Merv, what unit are you with?

mine does the same thing. I put a fuel pressure guage on it and found that the fuel pressure when I turn the key on pegs at 60 psi and immediately drops steadily down to 0 within 30 seconds.

I really hope its not the fuel pump because if it is Im going to sell it, I dont want to spend another 600$ ******* dollars on labor
If it is the fuel pump, wouldnt the car run a little funny? I have gone WOT quite a few times and it seems like theres no problem
Is there a way I can check my fuel pressure at home? Id rather not let the slime ball's at the dealership tell me I need a new fuel pump for 880$

autozone let you borrow one of the fuel pressure check, plug it in on the fuel rail and turn the key to on ( not start the car ) and check the guage for psi level and see if it hold the pressure. if it drop fast, you got a leak.
