Default A/C Problem?

Well im certified in A/C's let me say first of all so we don't have to go through anyone explaining the basics

anyways here's the problem im having. A week or 2 ago i charged my a/c with 2 1/2 cans it blew cold for 4-5 days then went mild cold then warm. So i hooked it up last night it was showing a little low (because i didst use 3 cans obviously) so i was like ok maybe the sensors bad so i pulled the A/C-Cruise fuse and put it back in with the car running compressor clicked and starting snow balling.. now this morning its mildy cold again

another thing is since my H/C/I build my cruise control has not worked says clutch sensor sometimes and i had to replace the hi pressure line because it broke during the swap at the condenser

Sounds to me like you have a bit of moisture in the system.

well i vacuumed it for 30-45 minutes with that harbor freight filter you hook to your compressor and compressor was at 115 psi the whole time

pulled the fuse and tried it again nothing blows alittle cold.. drier wont get cold but at the block at the back where the low and hi side lines meet it gets ice cold...

im guessing something is clogged here like the drier.. the thing is it was ice cold last night i had to run it on fan speed 1 because i was being frozen same as a week or 2 ago i would think it would never get ice cold if it was clogged thats what i was told before

Pull the orifice tube and see if it's plugged.

The LS1 uses 1.5#, each small can is 12 oz, so 2 cans should be a full system. You could be overcharged. (unless you found 8 oz cans somewhere)

That type of vacuum pump is not ideal, so there could still be moisture in the system, I will agree with fleetmgr on pull the orifice tube.

I doubt that you have a R12 conversion and 134a is cheap. . . I know it's not by the book. . . But, let er' go.

You can't find the drier? And you are certified in what?

Orifice tube is in the evaporator inlet. Remove the liquid line and pull it out. The accumulator (drier) is staring you in the face.

What are your gauge readings? The basics.................
