Default T-Tops Leaking

Not sure where to post this but, my t-tops are leaking on the front and back part of them on the passenger and driver side, im talking bout the sides where the handle is. Apparently my weather stripping is good, so do I just need new t-tops?

I think it is the weather stripping on the t-top. I had a new condition t-top on my car with no leaks then I put an older 94 t-top on and it leaked.I don't know how to fix it though. You can get t-tops cheap now a days. I have extra t-tops in Florida but I don't go back until November 1st.

i put a thin coat of dielectic grease on the seal's, it is supposed to condition and keep them pliable. so far mine are in good shape with no leaks.

If you open the door and tug up on the glass, does it move at all?

condition the seals or use that grease, it will swell and give a better seal...

If you are leaking at the back and the front, I think its a mechanical issue and less of a weatherstrip issue.

Is the weatherstripping surface still smooth, or is it falling apart?

When you look at the window glass from the outside of the car, do you see any gaps between the window glass and the weatherstripping? How close is it to the lip on the weatherstripping?

BTW - You can adjust the tops and you can adjust the glass. The answers to the above will help guide you.

Can you see a gap when the glass is up? It looks like your T-Tops are not locking down tightly. (There is a gap between the A pillar weatherstripping and T-Top. I saw another post with a procedure to tighten them back up.)

No - you probably just need to adjust them. That rash on your weatherstripping isn't it. If it was, the pockets would be filled with water after a leak. (Mine looks the same with no problems.)

Here is what I did that worked for rattles and helped for leaks although I still get a drip or two at a car wash.
