Replace Seat Belt Buckle

Replace Seat Belt Buckle Hey guys the seat belt buckle on my passenger side has the plastic piece broken offf so it needs to be replaced. My question is how do I get it off? From what I can tell I need to remove the seat belt retractor from the roof but how do i do that without damaging the headliner? Also once i get the seat belt out is it a pain to rewind it onto the retractor? Sorry for aall the questions I just dont wanna eff anything up while doing this.

Which part of the buckle? Take some pics...Youll probably be replacing the whole unit if it means taking the belt out of the retractor. As for the headliner. Its cake.

http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59696 I dont have a picture since I'm at work but in this link its in the 2nd pic while this is the drivers side the same principle should apply. In the picture theres the part that screws into the seat and then the actual male buckle that would clip into the belt receiver. Mines cracked and needs to be replaced question is do i need to unwind the belt off the retractor and then rewind it on?

Youll have to either.. cut the belt.. which would NEVER be safe again or buy another belt assembly. I bet if you post on here in the wanted section you could get one epicly cheap.
Do you have a good torque wrench. Very important to get the correct torque on the bolts when you are putting in the seat belts. If not, you may be better off taking it to a mechanic.
