DIY option: the Comp Cams Trunion kit is about $135 or so, and takes about 4-5 hours or so to do all 16 rockers.

Other options: parts + labour.

Damn 4-5 hrs lol.. it took me 30 minutes to remove the rockers from the car, remove the old trunions, and reinstall the new ones. 2 16mm sockets, patience, and a hammer did the trick.

So you spent no more than 1 minute 52 seconds per rocker...? That's quite a talent.

If he was to take his car to a shop they would charge him for a lot more than 30 minutes labor.

If you want to send me your rockers to do the trunion on ill video tape it happening.. I followed bene's write up except I didn't use a vice. I used an old head bolt with the rocker sitting on top of a socket large enough to catch the old trunions. Hit the rocker about 2 times with a hammer on the head of the head bolt directly on the old trunion and it'll pop out just like it says in the write up. Then I did the next steps differently than Bene. I grabbed 2 bearings and a trunion and loosely set them in the rocker. Next put the rocker on top of a 16mm socket and lightly hit it with the hammer until the bearing gets set about flush with the rocker. Then grab another 16mm socket and hit the the bearing that isn't pushed in yet and it will push BOTH bearings further into the rocker. It literally took the time I said it took.
