My ASR Doesn't Work

Also with my 2000 Buick Century, low fluid could/can make a diff.
have you done any work to the car, like replace the rear, or brake service???
Btw love the pic, that was a GMHTP article, was that your car???
2) What happens if you flick it to the "off" position, does the "ASR OFF" idiot light appear on the dashboard?
3) Even though the light may be off, is the module working? Will the tires spin out without the ASR module cutting fuel to the engine?
I remember having ASR on my other '02 Camaro, and distinctly remember the switch getting really hot for whatever reason; it never malfunctioned though.
On a side note, I hate ASR
. I was so happy that my new '02 had no traction control/ASR option. In my experiences, it always kicks in at the worst times, subsequently making the task of handling the car unpredictable, and then when you DO need it - it's ineffective. It's the first thing I would turn off when starting the car. I have since heard that SLP makes an ASR-reversal plug, which makes it so the default setting is "off" when you start the car initially.
