I just noticed this not 5 minutes ago.

this is a hose on the rear of the driver side vaulve cover...it's a hose that looks like it came out when into this other side and it looks like it's cut in half or burned better yet, also the tube itself is just laying on the back of the intake and the other side isn't connected to anything either...

Oh...looks like PCV hose.

That end should be attached to the back of the top of the valve cover. There a hole that it goes into.

Just bypass it when ya do the intake, plum it into a catch can instead of back into the intake

Do what I did, works like a charm, zero oil in my intake, but still plenty of crankcase gas evacuation.

-Breather on the drivers side valve cover.
-Cap everything else off.
-Except....run a hose from the passengers side valve cover to the intake vacuum port.
-Put a PCV valve in-line as well as a needle valve.
-Then you regulate how strong you want the vacuum pull to be.

You don't need much.

Thanks guys I'm gonna be pulling the intake tomorow, I know it will be easier to see and remove it without the intake in the way.

I think the LS6 valley cover is one of the worst parts ever made...it allows too much of the oil mist to get sucked out of the crankcase. The LS6 valely cover is the reason people have oil burning issues through their PCV systems.

As soon as I capped mine off my oil burning problems 100% stopped.

Granted though....with my needle valve set up I guess I could just turn the suction way down....but I would much rather suck from a valve cover than too take that important oil mist from the crankcase...espeically at high rpms.

No, you need to use a fuel filter. I ujust bought some stuff and made it fit into the grommet thats in the valve cover hole. You'll have to do the same. They sell these little black rubber tubes. I jammed it up into the fuel filter, then stuck that in the grommet. Fits perfect, its been in place for years.

I took a cigarette and saw the smoke getting sucked right in. Fresh air goes in and across the entire engine, then gets sucked out the passengers side port into the intake. The needle valve can be turned 100% off, full open and have ALOT of suction....or anywhere inbetween.

Pictures below of some of the stuff I bought.

You do realize that the port on the TB you blocked off is supposed to provide fresh air to the front port of the Pass side valve cover. Look at any, and I mean ANY motor in any newer fuel injected car. There's a fresh air line, and a PCV line. The line you blocked off draws air from before the throttle blade and provides the crankcase with fresh air. Fresh air helps expel excessive vapor. You may think that your setup is super efficient, but you might want to do some research on the simple engineering of a PCV system.

Its a hard plastic "T" fitting, so yes, it just slides into the hoses.

I got everything at my PepBoys.

Absolutely no need for that fresh air feed.....my crankcase gets all the fresh air it needs through my vented drivers side breather/filter.

It pulls air in nicely. The needle valve lets me set it to any suction level I want.

What would happen if you ran just a straight line from the passanger vaulve cover to the intake without the fitting?
