Yeah its about do for all new mounts my buddys 99z28 used to have a pretty good thud when it would shift but it didnt have 2nd gear so the tranny would hit 3rd with a lot of extra rpms after he had his tranny built it still made a pretty loud thud when shifting so it might be a normal thud but either way new mounts defiantly wont hurt anything!

I am 99% positive that its your trans mount. Takes minutes to change, cost 10 bucks at local parts store. Just buy a stock rubber one...

Dont run a poly transmission mount if your still on stock motor mounts. It can cause problems.

The poly bushing is stiffer has less flex for a stiffer drivetrain you might get a tad bit more vibrations in the car! I prefer poly bushing over the factory replacements myself

Some people get away with it, and some dont. If you have stock rubber motor mounts, it causes your engine to shake back and fourth when giving it throttle. If you have a stiffer mounts on the transmission, your transmission will not want to go anywhere when the engine is moving back and fourth. Some have cracked their bellhousing because of this.

I run poly MM's and factory TM and have no issues. I got my TM mount through a dealer so not sure you can get a rubber aftermarket....
