Is this all on the vertical track at the rear of the door? There are lost of chronic issues with this area, can you talk more about what you are dealing with or post a picture?

The roller is no longer available unless you get the entire track that attaches to the glass and the other parts can be had from a dealer. (maybe)

Depending on your exact situation, there may be fixes available for you.

Dad is wrong. That roller assembly is a ball and socket. The post has a ball on the end of it (with the top shaved flat) and the roller has a socket built in to the middle. It should rotate and move every which way. Yours looks good.

Your stop did break, but that only does its job when the window is all the way up. So, I don't think that's the source of your noise.

You'll probably need to get a good mirror inside the door (watch out for your hands with things moving around) and find out where the noise is coming from.

Are you talking about the post that comes out from the sheet metal attached to the window? If so, that post is not supposed to move. It is common for this piece to crack and split off entirely. If you are starting to loose yours, you'll want to fix that ASAP.

The "factory" solution to a broken post is to replace the entire metal track the glass is attached to. Other people have successfully welded it back in place.

Nothing else. It sounds like you are essentially replacing everything already!

The only thing I'd recommend is purchasing some Syl-Glyde and lubricating up all the tracks and rollers. It matches the factory track/roller grease. FYI - Old school; it was used on windows and brakes. There are better compounds for brakes now, but it still works for the windows.

I should have done that. I replaced the drivers door on my wifes car and transfered over the guts because of torn fiberglass. How GM could keep producing such horrible window regulator designs is beyond me. I hate Equinoxes but the regulators are SO easy to replace in those. Its nice when they are BOLTED in from factory too.

Dorman used to sell the roller, but its now discontinued. I looked and couldn't find anyone who still had one.

Agreed on GM rivets. They need to be the right length and material to work right.
