Thumbs down Slight shaking vibration of motor. Annoying...

My car is a all stock z28 ls1 m6. When I'm in idle sitting at a light or traffic, I feel a shake/tremor once in a while. When I look under the hood, the motor would be steady and then 5 seconds later it would tremor and shake a little bit then it's steady again. I feel the shake in my seat and it's annoying. The RPM is steady and never fluctuates. There is no shake when I'm moving. It only happens at idle when car is warmed up.

What should I look for? Mounts? Tranny or Motor? Misfire? My scangauge did not pull any codes.

may just be normal, mine does the same thing, its really subtle and only noticeable to me and not passengers, my brother said the car felt like it was carburated on his first ride in the car.

Most likely mounts. If they are stock rubber mounts they might be cracked, broken. Might need replaced.

Where can I buy rubber mounts for a decent price? I assume OEM is expensive.

Mine does the same thing, I figure it's not a Lexus it's a muscle car, so I don't let it bother me.

^^this..mine does to but I gave up tryin to cure it!! An as far as mounts,go poly,it wont help the vibration at all,but I would highly recommend them over stock mounts!!

I get this also but mine is because I installed Poly Motor mounts. There is nothing wrong with my car I just fell the vibration from the motor a little. Do you have Poly motor mounts?

I don't know if I have polys. Anyone know where I can get the cheapest rubber mounts? Kragen cost 80 a side.

Many people who have installed poly trans mounts have found they dramatically increase vibrations, not reduce them.
