Question Service Manual

Can somebody that has the GM Service Manual for an 93-02 F body please look in Book #2 under Suspension General Diagnosis there are Trim Height Specifications they are on Page 3-3 in my book. I don't see a picture anywhere in my book that shows where to take these measurements. I want to check my height specs but don't know where to measure. Thanx.

Some manuals are printed in the far East, and translated to English in India. I spent the fifteen bux, and got Haynes manual on Ebay. $.02

Your reasoning sounds absurd, but I guess anything is possible. My books were printed in the USA. Why on earth would they be written in another language and then translated into English when they are for American cars?
I am a Printer by trade and everything gets Proof Read, I can more see it being Missed by the reader.

Can anyone with a book for an 01-02 check this and see?

and again with your .02 and your fifteen bux you fail to supply some information. Why is this?

2002 service manual,

Trim height specification:
suspension F41: tire size 235/55 D = 118mm, Z = 30mm
suspension FE2: tire size 235/55 D = 118mm, Z = 31mm
suspension FE2: tire size 245/50 D = 125mm, Z = 37mm

trim ht is predetermind measurment relating to vehicle ride height, incorrect = bottoming out over bumps, damage, and alignment problems. check trim height before wheel alignment when diagnoising problems.

z measurement: lift front of vehicle up with your hands then let settle gently, do 3 times, then measure. measure from pivot bolt center line down to the lower corner of lower ball joint. push front bumper down 3 times then let settle. measure z dimension, take average, measurement within 13mm (1/2 inch) is considered correct.

d msrmt: determines proper rear end ride ht, do the same lift up push down, measure between bumper bracket and top of axle tube.

pm me if you need more details.

the z measurement would make sense if you had the pic,
what your measuring is vertical distance, so being on flat floor measure from lower control arm pivot point which is to the body, measure from that center point to the ground.
then measure from the other end of that control arm where the ball joint is, they say from the corner of lower ball joint, so from there to the ground, then the z measurement is the difference of those two, giving you vertical distance assuming your on flat level service. The z measurement is front suspension, d is the rear.
