Engine missing on accleration
Engine missing on accleration Last few times I've driven the car it's been 'missing' on acceleration. Like, 30-40% throttle at 1500-2000 rpm and it bucks. The gas left in it was about a month old (maybe 1/8th a tank or less left), so I filled it up and added some STP gas treatment. Not entirely sure what it is but I figure it is fuel related.
Could it possibly be time to change my filter? Should I wait until the STP treatment has basically run through the engine and my tank is empty before I change it?

STP treatment is complete garbage, it will do nothing.
A dirty fuel filter will not cause that unless its literally falling apart inside and clogging itself, that really never happens.
You should get a shop to scan it and look to see what your 02 sensors are doing.....if they are "switching" properly. Failing 02 sensor(s) are the most common thing that causes part throttle issues and it feels like misfiring.

Hey I am having the same issue it just started last time I put gas in car I am lost ? I have no cats and o2 are tuned out so I am almost positive its fuel but I have no clue where to start?
I think I might have figured out why. I had recently oiled my K&N filter while the trans was out. I might have overdid it. It was sitting drying for 3 weeks, but whatever. So tomorrow morning I'm going to go get a paper filter and some MAF cleaner and see if that fixes the problem.

I had the problem with my car and I can give you some run down on parts to replace going from cheapest to most expensive. My car would buck under quarter throttle from a bad intake air temperature sensor
In order I would replace the following
Clean out the mass air flow sensor $6 for a can of Maf cleaner
Fuel filter -$8
Intake air temp sensor -$12
Plugs and wires -$55
If you are still having problems after the plugs I would check your fuel pressure. Your pump could be on the way out however mine when it died felt like the car only made 150hp
For reference the car only uses the maf and 02 sensors for starting and at full throttle.
