Default Something just broke.....

Just got back from a car show and I was getting on it and hit a hump in the road. I have Koni's so it was a rough one. As soon as that happened the car started backfiring real bad. Now it seems it idles lower than it should and smells rich. What happened??

Is it normal for the car to backfire when it is cold out with cutout open? It only does it when I let off the gas when shifting. Or I rev it and as it idles down it will go pop, pop. It runs fine. Just took it around a bit and no loss in power and idle seems to be fixed. Crank sensor got jostled? Temp is 46f here.

No cats. Could it have been the cold? I took it out again and it was 50f out and it wasn't as bad as that time. No check engine light. Its only 55f here now and tomorrow it will be 78f. I'll take it it out tomorrow to see if it does that. I have been searching and have found a few answers. From what I have read between the big cam, cold air, no cats, cutout open she's going to pop. Im new to this so help me out here. I haven"t drove the car enough to learn it yet. Only had it since August and it was tuned in August.

I haven't started the car since my last post. Has done nothing but rain, rain, rain. I want to drive it again before I start in to it.

Well went to Autozone a rented a scanner and no codes were found. Says everything is ok. Does it need to be running with the scanner plugged in to see if the emissions are working correctly? Am I just being to paranoid? I plan on taking it out tomorrow. I just spent like 3 days detailing and waxing so if there is water on the road she sits.

Not suppose to run the car when scanning it. Just drive it and see how it runs.

Just got back from drive. She pops when cutout closed too but not as loud. Happens at around 2500rpm on deceleration. Still no codes. Cleared computer just to be sure. I don't remember it popping like this before winter. The car is on ramps right now. Have to wait until tomorrow to mess with it. By the time it cools down I'll have to go to work. Where do I start? Is this normal?
