Default Best oil 4 stock LS1 ?

I've been running Mobil One, since I got my car back in December. The LS1 is stock . What got me thinking "is there something better?" , was an add for LS30 engine oil. So, I started looking at Royal Purple as well. Any opinions or hardcore data? Thanks

$15 for a quart of Synthetic Oil LMAO. I've been using Mobil1 10-30 for 309,000 miles on my car and no trouble. It just goes to show people will buy anything.

Im so sick of these oil threads I was gonna say the same thing.

The only thing that will keep these LSx engines running properly is the most expensive super-duper synthetic oil made at NASA. The same oil they use in the space shuttle. Because the LSx is so special that it needs the most technologically advanced engines tested at MIT and NASA.

Seriously...because I can't resist.
If you use the cheapest off the shelf NON-synthetict oil.....OR....you use the most expensive synthetic space-flight approved oil thats only sold online from underground oil producers in Saudi Arabia....

NOTHING WILL CHANGE.

But if you change your oil every 3,000 and change the filter every 3,000........that, and THAT ALONE is the ONLY determining factor on engine longevity and wear protection.

PERIOD....end of ****** story.

Now go out and spend (waste) your money on synthetic bullshit.......

Be prepared to devote a significant amount of time reading all these threads. You will eventually learn one thing.

People have lots of opinions on oil. That's about it.
