Default Best plugs and wires for 98 Trans Am

What are the best plugs and wires for a 1998 Pontiac Trans Am with the LS-1?
Thanks,

TR55 are good. You can buy them from just about any aftermarket site or local parts store. I have mad wires, but I also agree with the above post on here.

When I looked up plugs on NGKs we site they didn't list the TR55 as a plug that fits a 2000, are they different than a 98?

No, they are exactly the same. TR55 will fit any year LS1. I believe the stock number for the correct plug is #3951.

I like the TR55s or the AC Delco Iridiums. I'm using both of these right now and am happy with both. The TR55s are cheaper, but won't last as long.

Due to the high powered ignition and short distance between the coils and plugs, I've never seen any improvements from aftermarket wires on these engines.

TR55s are the same heat range plug as the TR5s, but they come with a larger gap (.059"), closer to the original plug gap for these engines.

They are stock #3951. They will fit any LS1 engine. I've had them in 806, 853, and 241 heads.

Ordered some TR55 Iridiums after lots of research. good performance and should last a while. Changing plugs is not something you want to do often

Funny, a friend and I were talking about plug wires both having spent a stupid amount of money on wires and our conclusion is the stock probably work as well as any.

Without forced induction or nitrous I'd go Delco plugs for sure, and last time I did a tuneup I found 8 LS3 wires removed when they were brand new for like 20-30 bucks on Ebay. Couldnt pass it up.
