Default new exhaust

Hi everyone my exhaust rotted off after hanging down for awhile. I still have 1 tip but it scrapes against the ground when pulling in and out of the driveway or a parking lot.

I am looking at the slp loumouth II it's only $360 on ebay.

Will Meineke or Midas install these or do they want you to buy from them?

Any muffler shop would do the install I think. Just ahve to pay them for the labor.

Spend $100 at Harbor Freight for a jack and jack stands and do it in the driveway It should be really easy to do since most of it is rotted away

It would be cheaper to find a jack and do it yourself, shouldn't take more than an hour. I can't stand shops that do exhaust, they never do what I ask...

I am fortunate that I am VERY close to Mufflex in Trenton, N.J. since they WILL do what the customer asks, can solve every problem, and most importantly, they are the ONLY shop I've ever come across which can weld 304 stainless (almost NO others can, or will ).

The exhaust from the y-pipe rearward is one piece, but you just cut it off before it goes over the axle to remove it. It should be even easier to yank out since it's falling apart

am going to replace mine here soon, still contemplating who to go with, and I will be doing the work myself, all I need to get is an exhaust pipe cutter and I should be good to go. Question, can I take my old exhaust to the metal recycling place near me? I don't see why not all it is going to be is the pipe, muffler and tips (mine are welded on) don't know if they came from the factory like that or PO did it.

Yep, everything factory is welded on. You can also use any sort of metal blade to cut the exhaust -- I'd recommend a reciprocating saw (which every homeowner should have, anyway )
