Replacement radiator
Replacement radiator Got home today to see my radiator leaking, all hoses looked good so I pulled the radiator. Replacements available are spectra (autozone) Murray (oreilly) or napa (napa brand). I'll most likely get a 97 lt1 radiator as several members recommend it over the ls1 radiator. Napa one is $60 more than the autozone or oreilly one... Can anyone chime in on what I should get, I can't tell off napa but Murray and spectra are both plastic/aluminum. Can't justify the cash or downtime waiting for all aluminum so that's out... Thanks.
My radiator just burst tonight. Luckily I have a bike to ride around until I get it replaced but I figured I would see if the OP has replaced theirs of if anyone else has any suggestions on what price I should pay for a replacement and if the Full aluminum radiator would be worth the 300+ bucks or just go cheap for now.
I work for Advanced Auto... I am gonna go with the LT1 radiator and use a $40 off coupon of $100 or more...

I put one in my LS1 manual car, and it fits perfectly, you just have to cap the extra fittings/nipples on the plastic side tanks which we do not use.
I used large rubber vacuum caps for this, held on with spring, or worm drive hose clamps, but others have come up with better solutions.

Had a hairline crack on my stock radiator last year, I replaced mine with an Oreilly one, it was a little over $100. I didn't know about the LT1 radiator or else I probably would've went with that one. This Oreilly one has been going good with no problems tho.
Hey guys, I went with a advanced auto oem replacement. It was on sale @ $104 down from $170 and they had an additional online only coupon of $40 off $100 or more so I paid $70 after taxes. It was frustrating getting the old one out but the new one took 1/2 the time to install and hook up all the hoses. All in all it cost me like $80 bucks w/distilled water and I had the Dex-Cool laying and it took like 7-10 hours of slow steady work and a lot of breaks. All in all it wasn't too bad for the radiator burst when it did. Thanks for the input
