Question 2000 Firebird - melted 02 line - replacement?

So while fixing a ground i noticed this o2 line which was behind the heat shield, decided to take it out and saw this... cable connectors as shown are melted together and not coming apart....

anyone have diagram on which wire connects to which? i was going to just extend the cable wires longer and reroute away from the headers....

I'll dig some more, but I don't think so. Is your sensor a stock one or aftermarket replacement?

Well did some more digging, doesn't look like the o2 side is in alldata, just match em up though. Looking close at your pictures it looks like you can still see where they are oriented, just take your time and mark the wires. Looked at all 3 connector views and they are all the same.

How old is the sensor itself? and did you end up extending the wiring or just replacing and shielding it?

not sure on how old they are... car has long tube headers also...

I extended the wires which required 2 butt connectors on each line, i read multiple posts where that can cause issues....

So... i went and ordered Denso 234-4025 and Bosch 13111 Oxygen Sensors to see which works out

I personally think the Denso sensors will do alot better than the Bosch.. I forgot all the Part Numbers but I put on the long wired Denso sensors incase I upgraded to long tubes down the road..no issues...

The denso long wire sensor will do best for you. You could still wrap the whole thing in heat shielding

I had to use the Bosch 13111 since it has a long wire, the 2234-4025 is a short wire... if i added an extension to even the Bosch, the car died... so annoying.... it doesnt like any extension...

therefore i covered the Bosch 13111 wire with a DEI 010419 Heat Sheath and ran it behind the heat plate and basically same path original went... just a PIA since there is not much room for hands to do a zip tie....
picture looks like sheath is touching header but it is not, id say atleast inch away....

I was able to drive to get gas and another 4 miles without stalling out...
