Default LS Engine mounts

Time has come to purchase engine mounts.

As some of you may remember, i while back i sold some Spohn solid engine mounts due to my new K member having the pedestals on it already. So the stock clamshell would bolt directly to the K.

I feel like i may have prematurely purchased those, so i would like some opinions before just diving into some more solid mounts.

Car:

Stalled/Cammed LS1 Camaro
Tubular K member, tubular Upper and lower control arms
Coil overs either from the start or after first season
Ozite carpet !sound deadening

Car will be driven sparsely. I few times to work here and there just if i need to get it on a lift. As well as a few meets. Car will be driven to the track... or wherever it may be racing

So with all that being said? anyone have any real world experience on the subject?

I have poly's on my 414 also with aftermarket Kmember upper and lower CA's but mines a manual and have a very loppy cam. I went with the poly's over solids because i wanted it to be a bit more forgiving as its a driver car not a race car. They are solid enough I can still rock the car on a throttle blip in neutral but with my cam I dont feel like the car shakes at idle. I think If I had solids that might get annoying but when its running i drive the car often so you may feel differently.

Factory AC Delco mount is all your car needs. Any other mount will offer zero enhancements....and a worse ride.

You may not like my answer, just like I don't like my options, but my Spohn solids have been outstanding. I thought I would hate them, but you could balance a dime on my engine even with 140k miles and 60k miles on my f13 cam

Go solid.

So thats where I got my info....right from the people trying to sell them. Unanimous.......do not do it unless its a track car.....

IF I want the smoothest ride possible with the least vibration possible.

Solid mounts will cause NVH but I daily drive mine, cammed/stalled. I'd say if its not a daily driver there's really no reason not to get solids. You'll most likely never have to concern yourself with motor mounts again. I vote solid or keep it stock.

My car does not have any rattles or vibrations with the solid mounts

I also run a stock rubber trans mount. A few hard down shifts with really hard and loud noises with the poly trans mount really gave me no choice. Felt like the clutch shutter was going to rip the rear end out of the chassis
