Shop manual
I have a 1934 Ford with an LS1 engine and a 4L60E transmission from a 2002 Camaro. I'm looking for manuals to cover the LS1 and 4L60E units only. I don't need any other information about the rest of the Camaros. I like the GM original manuals sold by Helm, but they can only sell you a complete Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird Service Manual at $375. Are there printed or digital manuals available, covering engine and transmission only? Any suggestion is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris

As @G Atsma mentioned, there are excellent LS engine books for rebuilding and/or upgrading. (I have 10+ such books, but all lent out now to someone swapping an LS with upgrades into their '68 Camaro.)
IMHO, there is so, so much more info now on the Internet (in these forums, on YouTube, etc) that expensive service manuals are obsolete.

For LS1 engines and 4L60E transmissions, you might have better luck with dedicated repair manuals or service guides specific to those components. Additionally, some automotive repair manuals, like those from Chilton or Haynes, may cover these components in detail without the full vehicle service manual. You could also check if GM or third-party publishers offer digital versions or individual component manuals that might be more affordable.
