Default Some weird shiite

Driving down the road today and I look at my gauges where the SES light panel thing is.........the "BRAKE" and "LOW TRAC" light both come on at the same down for a about 5 second intervals then turn off, then turn back on. Not sure what the hell is going on, anyone have any opinions???

Mine acted crazy like that a couple times a few years ago. The low trac and abs inop light would come on and I basically would have no brakes for about 30 seconds. Talk about scary when yer coming down the off ramp doing 70-80 mph and have no way to stop! lol

Check brake fluid levels, or bleed the system 1 time, drive it (get up to at least 15 mph) and bleed it again.

FWIW, I believe you need to scan with a Tech II type device for getting the ABS info.

My ABS Inop light comes on occasionally, but I still have brakes. Maybe your ABS module.

mine did that too. and I found out that it was a wheel speed sensor at the left front wheel, you have to get it scan with the tech 2 and if it is the front you have to replace the hub.

Usually big garages have them like Pep Boys, Autozone (I'm not ENTIRELY sure about them), GM Stealerships. Snap On usually makes 'em, but they're quite expensive for our applications.

the low trac light light often comes on upon hard acceleration or just driving around becaue the sensor in the rear end housing often times cant pic up a signal from the magnet that it is supposed to be "seeing". most often times this happens after a new gear install, very heavy acceleration, or right before the gears go bad. the low trac light for some reason often times triggers the ABS inop light for some reason, but not sure how they are related.
