a good quality oil works fine. You need not bother with additives.

Well the Slick 50 guarentee is good, a guy I know had a spun rod bearing 91 days after they did Slick 50... Got a new engine paid by them.

As I learn more and more about go fast parts, the more I realize that big isle at Wal-Mart with all the bottles and stuff is just about useless.

Pretty much, the FTC sued and won against Slick 50 and a few other products of it's type. There are good additves out there but not many of them are readily available at parts stores or Walmart. Even the good ones are not really necessary and are of more use if trying to clean a dirty engine or do extended drains.

You speak of Bob, he is the oil guy. The street RP oils are not great the race ones are better but none of it worth the price or hassle with the number of readily available very good oils out there today.

I use that hometown Valvoline straight 50 conventional. Change every 3000 miles. Changing it at the right interval is probably better for an engine than anything.
