Default Battery Tray ?

the front lip on my stock battery box broke off, and now the battery does not stay secure...doesnt bother me, but it does create a problem for my local dragstrip. they want it fixed or i cant race.

my question is how do you get the coolant overflow tube out of the tray..just pull it out?? or will the new tray come with that tube?

Good question, I've honestly never even looked to see how it comes out I've seen people thread drywall screws into the plastic edge where it snapped off, and basically use the heads of the screws as the "hook" for the battery.

The coolant overflow tank is the battery tray. They're $40 new from the dealer. We took a $3.99 plastic battery tray, cut to fit, and screwed it on top of the old tray/overflow tank. Good as new.

The tube is part of the battery tray, it comes out as one piece.

Can you PM me the part # of the new tray? When I went in for service they broke mine too, so I can just lift my battery out also.

Thanks alot!
